Our friendly, knowledgeable team have heaps of experience, having been on, under or around the water all their lives. Owner Dan Slater has sailed at the highest level for New Zealand including three Olympic Games and an America’s Cup. He’s also coached all classes of boats and is happy to pass on his deep knowledge to our customers.
We’re all about nurturing a love of water sports at all levels and are proud supporters of major events in sailing and kayaking as well as school fundraisers.

Meet Dan Slater.
Born and raised in the City of Sails, it’s only natural that Dan’s spent heaps of his life on the ocean. Since his international debut at the 1992 ISAF Youth Worlds, Dan has represented his country many times, both at the Olympics and as part of the 2003 Team New Zealand America’s Cup defence. He’s also coached World champions, European champions and Olympic medallists to victory.
